Romanian Seders
Mark Passover

BUCHAREST (JTA) —
Some 6,000 Jews partici-

pated in collective Seders in
28 communities throughout
Romania, Chief Rabbi
Moses Rosen reported Mon-
day. The Chief Rabbi's
Seder was attended by
Jewish members of the
Academy of Science,
writers, artists and hun-
dreds of students.
More than 10,000 Jews
received aid for Passover in
the form of money, matzot
and kosher food through the
help of the Joint Distribu-
tion Committee and the
Federation of Jewish Corn-
munities, Rosen said. He
stressed that not one Jew in
Romania had to go without
the means to observe
Passover.

UFO Highlights
Easter Pilgrimage

JERUSALEM
Thousands of Christians
who made the pilgrimage to
Jerusalem held candlelight
prayers at -the tomb of
Christ last Saturday and
many reported seeing an
Unidentified Flying Object,
(UFO) round and brightly
glowing, high in the sky
near the church of the Holy
Sepulcher.
Excitement and specula-
tion about possible religious
significance of the UFO
sighting was later quelled
when a resident of the area
called police to say his son
had released a large silver
balloon, bought at a chil-
dren's fair in Tel Aviv,
about the time of the sight-
ings.

Detroiter's Novel
Tale of Revenge

411111 11 ■ ArAllai,

AK/

Detroiter Dr. Maurice
Croll has just published a
short novel whose theme is
revenge, "Little Miss David
— and Goliath."
Published by Vantage
Press, the book is the tale of
Peggy Bridges' aim to seek
revenge for the death of her
son who is slain by a
ricocheting bullet fired dur-
ing a gun battle between
two gangsters.
Although it takes her
nearly two years to corn-
plete her task, Mrs. Bridges
gets her revenge, although
one may find her method
disgusting. But death isn't
pretty either.
"Little Miss David — and
Goliath" is a shocking tale
of the power of a mother's
love for her child and the
lengths to which she will go
to protect or preserve it. No
recommended for the
of heart, it is rather geared
for those who enjoy adven-
ture and mystery.
