ter in Jerusalem.
Shaare Zedek will invite
senior faculty members of
Albert Einstein College of
Medicine to Jerusalem to
serve as professors in resi-
dence at Shaare Zedek's
new $50 million medical
center. Faculty will be cho-
sen according to the profes-
sional needs of Shaare
Zedek.
In addition, a program of
clinical electives in various

disciplines will be organized
by Shaare Zedek for Eins-
tein students.
A third element of the
agreement is a series of
annual medical-scientific
symposiums sponsored
by both institutions.

The Albert Einstein Col-
lege of Medicine will also
provide opportunities for
special clinical and research
training for staff members
of Shaare Zedek Medical
Center.

The official exchange
agreement between the two
institutions came about
after a long unofficial rela-
tionship. Dr. David M.
Maeir, director-general of
Shaare Zedek, is a former
professor of Einstein. He
left that institution to emi-
grate to Israel 10 years ago.
During the past decade, a
number of Einstein stu-
dents have taken elective
courses at Shaare Zedek,
and faculty members from
each institution have

The word Seder is an ab-
breviated form of the ex-
pression "Seder Lel Pesach"
(i.e., the order of the eve-
ning of Passover).
The word "Seder," which
means "order," indicates an
ideal reflected in the Seder
observance. Whatever emo-
tions direct the actions of
our people they have to be
regulated and orderly.

Anti-Defamation
Group for Arabs?

WASHINGTON
James Abourezk, the
former South Dakota sena-
tor turned legal counsel for
clients including the gov-
ernment of Iran, blames
pro-Israeli forces for creat-
ing the ugly Arab image.
Abourezk is currently or-
ganizing an Arab anti-
defamation group. The
group has been a long-time
project for the former sena-
Pire
controversy. He hopes to
hold an organizational
meeting of the group in
May.
