BNAI BRITH WOM-
EN'S COUNCIL will
hold its March delegates
meeting 7:45 p.m. Wednes-
day at the Zionist Cultural
Center. Council President
Sylvia Ross announces offi-
cers will be elected. There
will be a vehicle in the park-
ing lot at 7:30 p.m. to accept
used clothing and furs for
the thrift shop.

LOUIS D. BRANDEIS
CHAPTER will hold an
election meeting noon
Wednesday at the Knob-in-
the-Woods Apts. club house.
Bagel brunch will be served.
Gail Graham of the South-
field Public Library will re-
view "A Bend in the River"

The semi-annual Jewish
National Fund Blue Box
clearance will start April 3
and continue through May
18, it was announced by
Betty Silverman, chairman
of the JNF Blue and White
Box Committee. Mrs. Sil-
verman called for volun-
teers to help in the clear-
ance.

of the Israel Martyrs Forest
Committee of the Bnai
Brith Council of Metropoli-
tan Detroit, said the aim of
the Presidents Brunch to be
held 10 a.m. Sunday at Adat
Shalom Synagogue, is to es-
tablish the Detroit Forest of
Peace as an extension of the
Martyrs Forest located in
the Judean Hills near
Jerusalem.
The Presidents Brunch is
the occasion to honor
presidents of the Bnai Brith

Oakland Century Lodge
of Bnai Brith has made
available a $500 college tui-
tion grant.
To be eligible for the
grant, a student must have
ties to the Detroit area;
must demonstrate commu-
nity participation or leader-
ship potential; have an
above average college re-
cord; and demonstrate fi-
nancial need.
Students should send a
memorandum in letter form
describing how he or she ful-
fills the criteria to Oakland
Century Lodge, Scholarship
Committee, 25625 South-

Application deadline is
April 18.
