niversary, To Israel With
Love," to take place April 19
and 20 at the main Jewish
Community Center.

The celebration will
begin 8 p.m. April 19 with
opening ceremonies and
entertainment by the Is-
raeli troupe, Sharti Lach
Artzi, who will sing and
dance. An Israeli disco will
follow.
The April 20 activities
will include a Maccabia
(Olympics) for children
age 12 and up. At 11:30
a.m., there will be a
"knowledge of Israel
contest." Israeli song,
dance and humor will be
presented at 12:30 and a
multi-media production,'
"Israel Alive and Sing-
ing," will be part of the
day's events.
Moshe Arad, deputy di-
rector general of the foreign
ministry, will speak 1:30
p.m. April 20. WXYZ radio
commentator David New-
man will conduct a "Meet
the Press" program on Mid-
dle East politics.
The day will conclude
with a concert of Israeli
music performed by the
Center Symphony Or-
chestra, under the baton of
Julius Chajes.
Mini-activities and pre-
school projects will be ongo-
ing throughout the day.
