Economists in Israel are
predicting that the coun-
try's inflation rate will drop
from the 111 percent figure
of 1979 to 80 percent in
1980.
There have been predic-
tions that the exchange rate
will be IL 54-64 to the dollar
by the end of 1980.
The pound began 1979 at
IL 26 to the dollar, and is
presently at IL 40 to $1.
