Miami Beach were honored last month in Miami.
Beach at the 14th annual Histadrut Economic Confer-
ence for Israel. They were recipients of the Histadrut
Golden Chain of Yiddish Culture Award, presented
by Dr. Sol Stein, left, national president of the Israel
Histadrut Foundation, which sponsored the four-day
national conference. The Friedmans were honored
"for their outstanding contributions to the preserva-
tion of Yiddish culture, both in the United States and
in Israel."

to Visit Detroit JWV Women

Eleanor Medoff, national
president of the Jewish War
Veterans Auxiliary, will be
in Detroit Thursday
through March 22 to visit
the Department of Michi-
gan Auxiliary.
Among her activities,

presentation on behalf of
JWVA to the Children's Vil-
lage in Pontiac. She also
