"It's A Woman's World
1980," to be held April 23 at
the synagogue, will be
treated to a special pro-
gram, "Nouvelle Kugel
Cuisine," 1 p.m. March 10 at
the synagogue.
The March 10 program
will feature Goldie Adler,
who will demonstrate, how
to make a variety of kugels,
give a commentary and dis-
tribute samples.

ganize the Women's Di-
vision of the Detroit Round

Anne Parzen has ac-
cepted the role of Metro De-
troit chairman of the State
of Israel Bonds Diamond
Trustees Honorary Society.
The Diamond Trustees
Society was established by
the National Women's Di-
vision to honor those women
who make Israel Bond pur-
chases of $10,000 or more in
a given year.
Mrs. Parzen, a long-time
leader in the Israel Bond
Women's Division, is the Is-
rael Bond Chairman of Met-
ropolitan Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah. She is also a life
member and past group
president of Hadassah and
was honored as Hadassah's
"Woman of the Year" at the
1977 Israel Bond luncheon.
A native Detroiter, she
has served as an officer
and board member of the
Cong. Shaarey Zedek Sis-
terhood and as a member
of the annual Book Fair
Committee of the Jewish
Community Center. She
has also been active with
the Torch Drive and the
ANNE PARZEN
March of Dimes.
Diamond Trustees in
1980 will receive a special
pin created by Samuel Bak,
noted Israeli artist. His first
one-man show — a group of
drawings — was held in the
Vilna ghetto in 1942, when
he was 9 years old.
For the Diamond Trustee
pin, Bak has utilized PAO>
peace theme, depicting a
silver dove in flight. The pin
is signed and dated.

nental breakfast. There will
be boutiques and a luncheon
featuring Judith Viorst,
author of eight children's
books, four books of poetry
and two books of prose.

Torah Fund dinner 6:30
p.m. March 17 in the
synagogue.
The evening will include
entertainment by the sis-
terhood choral group, di-
rected by Cantor Simon
Bermanis.
Proceeds from the Torah
Fund affair will support the
residential halls campaign
of the Women's League for
Conservative Judaism, on
behalf of the Jewish
Theological Seminary.
Attendance is restricted
to persons who have bene-
fited the Torah Fund and
their guests. There is a
charge, and reservation
deadline is March 10.
