Justice Minister Shmuel Tamir told the board of gov- ernors of the American Jewish Committee that while the British emer- gency regulations allowed indefinite detention with- out charges, the new -sta- tute, enacted a year ago, limits such detention to six months, with a judge's re- view after three months. Trial Ordered in Menten Case THE HAGUE — The Supreme Netherlands Court ruled last week that the trial of millionaire art dealer Pieter Menten must be held. Menten is accused of col- laborating with the Nazis during World War II in the killing of 20-30 Polish Jews. A Rotterdam court sus- pended the trial last Sep- tember.
