Brides Pregnant JERUSALEM (JTA) — Between 11-12 percent of Jewish brides in Israel are pregnant at the time of their marriage, according to a survey by two staff mem- bers of the Central Bureau of Statistics. The study showed that pregnancy before marriage is most frequent among Israel-born women. Pre- marital first pregnancies among them is 14 percent.
