Begin Annual Tourney
The Bnai Brith Women's
Mid-Lakes Bowling Asso-
ciation, consisting of bow-
lers from Illinois, Wiscon-
sin, Minnesota and Michi-
gan, will hold its annual
bowling tournament today
through Sunday at Thun-
derbird Lanes, Troy.
Headquartered at the
Michigan Inn, the tourna-
ment also will include spe-
cial activities.

at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The brunch, which honors
the presidents of councils,

tional Fund.
Awards will be presented
to tree and tribute chairmen
"for their work on behalf of
the Bnai Brith Israel pro-

Brides Pregnant
JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Between 11-12 percent of
Jewish brides in Israel are
pregnant at the time of their
marriage, according to a
survey by two staff mem-
bers of the Central Bureau
of Statistics.
The study showed that
pregnancy before marriage
is most frequent among
Israel-born women. Pre-
marital first pregnancies
among them is 14 percent.
