Robinson, president of Jewish Federa- tion Apartments, said the response of other agencies was swift. Personnel from the Jewish Welfare Federa- tion arrived to assist even while firemen were on the scene. The Jewish Community Center invited the residents for lunch. The Oak Park Community Center sent over a bus so the JFA resi- dents could spend the day there. The Jewish Home for Aged offered its facilities for any whose apart- ments were affected by smoke and water seepage from the fire site.
