rector of the Bnai Brith
Council of Metropolitan De-
troit.
Gordon was director of
the Bnai Brith
Minnesota-Wisconsin
Council, a post he held for
five years.
Born in Maryland, Gor-
don earned a BS degree in
education from the Univer-
sity of Maryland.

Southfield Athletic Club to
plan the annual Presidents'
Brunch to be held March 23.
The annual affair, which

Sprinkle pepper and garlic
powder on the lamb. Broil to
sear. In a heavy Dutch oven
brown onions In corn oil. Dis-
card any remaining oil. Add
the lamb and combine the re-
maining ingredients. Pour
them over the Iamb. Cover pan
tightly and roast in a 350 de-
gree oven for two hours. Baste
about four times. Uncover and
bake another half to three-
quarters of an hour. If meat is
not tender, cover again and
roast until it is soft. Serves 6.

Daily Living Clinic at Sinai

keynote address. His talk
will be followed by a variety
of workshops for adults and
youngsters, as well as a rec-
reation program for chil-
dren and teens.

Law Contest
Alan M. Hurvitz, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hur-
vitz of Southfield, recently
won the first place award in
a national scholarship con-
test sponsored by the Tau
Epsilon Rho Law Frater-
nity.
Hurvitz is a second-year
student at Wayne State
University's law school,
where he serves as chancel-
lor of the WSU Chapter.
