Or how about forcing tree branches? Choose branches of an early flowering tree, well-covered with leaf and blossom tracts. Crush two or three inches at the ends of the branches with a ham- mer. Soak the entire branch overnight in, warm water. Remove from water, then set the bottoms of the branches in a jar or can of warm water, and cover the entire thing with a sheet of plastic.
