Rabbi David Lieberman,
dean of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah, who is leaving to
accept the post of chief rabbi
of Antwerp, Belgium, will
be the guest speaker.
Toastmaster will be Sam
Shoenig. Greetings will be
brought by Dr. Henry S.
Baum, president of Mikvah
Israel. Rabbi Leizer Levin,
head of the Council of Or-
thodox Rabbis and a
member of the Mikvah Is-
rael Vaad Halakha, also
will speak.
The Council of Or-
thodox Rabbis has
designated Saturday as
Mikva Shabat.
Hillel L. Abrams and
Mrs. Solomon Rothenberg
are co-chairmen of the ban-
quet. Committee members

at Young Israel

Young Israel of Green-
field will hold its fifth an-
nual auction-dinner 5 p.m.
Sunday in the synagogue.
The auction will begin at
6:30.
Chairman Ruvi Singal
announces there will be car-
toons and movies for chil-
dren in the youth lounge
during the auction.
Among the items to be
auctioned off are:
appliances, art objects, food
items and clothing. There
will be prizes.

sembly honoring the mem-
ory of Rabbi Isaac Stollman
8 p.m. Wednesday at
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah.
The former Detroit
spiritual leader and head of
Mizrachi Hapoel Hamiz-
rachi died Jan. 7 in Israel.
He was 86.
