THE DETROIT EMU INNS
31 Friday, law 11, 19W
There is something that is
much more scarce, some-
thing far finer, something
rarer than ability. It is the
ability to recognize ability.

EVERYBODY'S TA MG ABOUT:
THE BEST RIBS IN TOWN!
r
T
he Best of Everything
(Continued from Page 29)
you can come as you are and
join the crowd of seafood
buffs.
"Many suburbanites
seem to frequent the same
dining spots because they're
consistently good and close
to home. Golden Mush-
room, the Great Dane and
Excalibur are popular
favorites. But what about
the Detroit restaurants we
used to enjoy?
"Roma Cafe is the
mother city's oldest Italian
restaurant, where the food
is spicy and authentic.
- "Chin Tiki on Cass is
still one of the better Orien-
tal restaurants around with
Polynesian, Cantonese and
American cuisine, tropical
cocktails and an Hawaiian
revue.
The Gaslight Rooth- in
Detroit's downtown area
seems like a part of the past.
But it's still serving seafood,
steaks and prime ribs 4-11
p.m., Mondays through Fri-
days.
"Mario's and Lairs are
synonymous with
downtown Detroit. From
the pasta to the spumoni,
these Italian dining spots
which have survived the
exodus to the suburbs are
perennial favorites.
"Downtown restaurants
usually have convenient
parking so that's not a prob-
lem. But it's depressing to
drive along deserted streets
and to window-shop
through chained storefronts
that' look like cages."
