Mizrachi Passover Mo'os Hitim Project
Continues as Aid From Religious Zionists

Mizrachi Hapoel Hamizrachi, the
local branch of the Religious
Zionists of America, announced this
week that the annual campaign of
aid to needy in Israel for the
Passover festival will be carried on
again this year.

The Detroit Religious Zionists
Passover Mo'os Hitim Committee
this year is headed by Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar Bigman.

In their appeal for aid in this year's
campaign, the Bigmans stated:

"The Mizrachi office has had a
tradition for 32 years of sending
Mo'os Hitim — Passover food pack-
ages — to the needy in Israel. The

The cost of food has risen dramat-
ically in Israel in recent months and
our assistance is even more crucial.

"Both as a tribute to (the late) Ziv
(Tomkiewicz, who headed Mizrachi
in Detroit) and for the mitzva of giv-
ing Mo'os Hitim, we ask you to re-
spond immediately so that we can
distribute the food certificates in
time for the Passover holiday, which
begins March 31."

Flint Obituaries

Frederick Klein

Frederick D. Klein,
owner of Fred's Credit
Jewelry, died Jan. 2 at age
67.
Born in Czechoslovakia,
Mr. Klein lived 59 years in
Flint. He was a member of
Flint's Temple Beth El. He
resided at 1106 S. Franklin.
He is survived by his wife,
Irene; a son, Kim; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Marjorie Glick of
Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Rose
Nassau of Hallandale, Fla.

gian civilian who worked
with United Nations troops
in the Sinai was shot and
killed in Nahariya, near the
Lebanese border, when an
Israeli resident mistook
him for a terrorist.
