TEL AVIV (JTA) — Is-
raeli government offices,
which have always had se-
curity guards, will soon be
staffed with energy watch-
ers to make sure there is no
wasting of light or heat.
Following a detailed
energy conservation check
list that has been distrib-
uted to all government
offices, the watchers will
make sure that, among
other things, lights are
turned off in all offices, even
if the occupants are absent
for only a short time.
Heat will be turned on
only if the temperature falls
below 60 degrees F.
