Shaarey Zedek. Petite luncheon will be served. Evans lived in Moscow, where, for many years he was the CBS News TV and radio correspondent and bureau chief. Evans reported on the 1956 Suez War, Hungarian revolution and on the 1967 Middle East war. He cov- ered the invasion of Czechoslovakia years later. He was the correspon- dent covering the 50th anniversary of the Rus- sian Revolution and the Arab leaders' visits to Moscow. He also covered the cap- ture of the Pueblo and the negotiations proceedings to go to the Korean capital. He covered the dissident trials in Russia and was one of four journalists turned away by Soviet ivirs.
