Burns proves that he can be
as hilarious in his reminis-
cences as he is on stage.
Throughout the book, he
credits the Irish-Catholic
woman who became his
partner both on stage and in
life, Gracie Allen, for much
of his success.
Burns and Miss Allen
were married in 1926 and
went on to become stars of
the vaudeville circuit, '
movies and finally an
eight-year television series.

cent article in the
Jerusalem Post which said
Jews in Argentina and
other countries view Israel
as a haven.
He argued that the small
percentage of Argentine
Jews who have emigrated to
