NEW YORK (JTA) — As-
saults against Jewish in-
stitutions, cemeteries,
houses of worship and pri-
vate property have more
than doubled this year com-
pared to 1978, according to a
national audit conducted
annually by the Anti-
Defamation League of Bnai
Brith.
The findings, made public
last Friday at the ADL
executive committee meet-
ing here, revealed 129 ,re-
ported incidents include de-
secrations, swastika daub-
ings, anti-Jewish graffiti,
arson attempts and
firebombings. Of the 129, 51
were attacks upon homes
and stores owned by Jews,

1 package (13 oz.) Chef
Boyardee Complete Cheese
Pizza in a Skillet

1 cup cubed eggplant
1 cup sliced zucchini
cup chopped onion
Y2 cup chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsps. olive oil or cooking
oil
1 /2 tsp. salt
Prepare pizza crust mix ac-
cording to package directions.
Generously grease bottom
and sides of cold 10" skillet.
Grease fingers and spread
dough evenly over bottom to
edges of skillet; pinch up
edges to hold sauce. Pour
canned pizza sauce from
package over dough, spread
to edges.
Saute eggplant, zucchini,
onion, pepper and garlic in
olive oil. Remove and drain on
absorbent paper; sprinkle with
salt. Arrange on top of pizza
sauced dough; then sprinkle
shredded cheese from pack-
age on top.
Cook covered with lid
slightly ajar, over medium-low
heat on electric range or low
heat on gas range for 16-18
minutes or until bottom Is gol-
den brown. Loosen sides and
bottom of pizza with spatula;
slide pizza onto cutting sur-
face. Serve immediately.

swastika epidemic which
began in Cologne, Ger-
many, at the end of 1959
and triggered 810 anti-
Jewish incidents in 1961.
During the rest of the 1960's
and through 1977, the aver-
age anti-Jewish episodes
per year was about 45.


Holocaust Interns

An intern program to pre-
pare young people for work
in a wide range of activities
related to Holocaust educa-
tion and research and selec-
tion of the first five students
as interns has been an-
nounced by the Simon Wie-
senthal Center for
Holocaust Studies at
Yeshiva University of Los
Angeles.
Interns will take classes
on the history of the
Holocaust for a full aca-
demic year and do indepen-
dent research under schol-
arly supervision.
