NEW YORK — The Na-
tional Council of Jewish
Women has chosen its
Jacksonville, Fla., St. Louis
and Greater Dallas sections
to share a grant for training
volunteers to be "court-
appointed special advo-
cates" for children involved
in foster-care custody pro-
ceedings.
The two-year, $300,000
grant was awarded by the
Edna McConnell Clark
Foundation, which asked
NCJW to develop demon-
stration projects in a

number of its sections.
The pilot projects are de-
signed to help courts pre-
