Junior Div. to Hear Immigrants Arno and Celia Sosenky, recent immigrants from the Soviet Union, will speak about their experiences at an open meeting of the Jewish Welfare Federation Junior Division at 8 p.m. Wednesday in LaMed Au- ditorium of United Hebrew Schools. Sosenky was born to Rus- sian parents in Germany. The family emigrated to Leningrad in 1933 when the Nazis came to power in Germany. Sosenky worked for a German-language newspaper and was ar- rested twice and sentenced to a total of 13 years in prison. After his release he moved to Kishinev, where he taught German at the university and conservat- ory. Mrs. Sosenky was born in Romania, and taught at a secondary school in Kishinev for more than 30 years. Since coming to De- troit in 1977 the Sosenkys have done volunteer work on behalf of the Al- lied Jewish Campaign and have helped teach English to older Russian Jewish immigrants.
