Rabbi Leo Jung, a U.S. Orthodox leader for more than 50 years, has com- pleted another volume on Jewish lore and Jewish life with his "Love and Life" (Philosophical Library). The venerable rabbi has written more than 30 vol- umes during his distin- guished career. "Love and Life" deals with man's and woman's role -in the home, as lovers and comrades, parents and teachers of their children. The book is geared for all who wish to achieve a clearer understanding of the Jewish home. The brief volume — 82 pages — includes chapters on "Guidelines to. a Happy Marriage," "The Prob- lems of Our Women in Our Times," "Woman's Three-Fold Role," "Knowledge and Love in Rabbinic Lore," "Man's Knowledge of God," and "Of Love and Knowl- edge." Rabbi Jung has been chairman of the cultural- religious commission of the Joint Distribution Commit- tee for more than 40 years; president of the Jewish Academy of Arts and Sci- ences, U.S.A. since 1950; and emeritus professor of ethics at Yeshiva Univer- sity since 1968.
