REHOVOT — The Ford
Foundation has awarded a
grant of $250,000 to the
Weizmann Institute of Sci-
ence to support an inter-
disciplinary research pro-
gram on the physiological
basis of fertility regulation,
to be carried out under the
direction of Prof. Hans R.
Lindner, head of the insti-
tute's Hormone Research
Department and dean of bi-
ology. This grant is for a
five-year period.
The Rockefeller Founda-
tion has agreed to match
this Ford Foundation grant
by a similar award of
$250,000.

Representatives of two senior citizens groups
were among those honored at the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign - Israel Emergency Fund Metropolitan Di-
vision's annual awards meeting Nov. 4. Cited for their
work on behalf of the 1979 Campaign were, from left,
Sophia Hoffman and Anna Lublin of the Center Social
Service Club and Sarah Winokur, Yetta Deitch and
May matter of the Little Senior Citizens Club. More
than 200 individuals and 125 organization representa-
tives were honored at the meeting.
