Detroiter David Bittker
will be installed as
president of the Bnai Brith
District 6 at its 111th con-
vention Sunday through
Wednesday at the Raddison
South Hotel in
Bloomington, Minn.
Delegates and alternates
from lodges and units in
eight Midwest states and
four Canadian provinces
will attend a series of work-
shops, seminars, lectures
and plenary sessions deal-
ing with youth, the family,
cults, civil rights, Israel,
membership, civic and
community activities and
interorganization programs
and problems.
Keynote speaker at the
opening general session will
be Justin Finger, director of
the civil rights division of
the Anti-Defamation
League of Bnai Brith.
Bittker is the im-
mediate past president of
the Michigan Regional
Board of the ADL. He is a
member of the Jewish
Community Council of
Detroit, secretary of the
Covenant Credit Union
and is a board member of
the Hillel Foundation on
the Wayne State Univer-
sity campus and the
Michigan Region of the
