Urge Solidarity
With Falashas

NEW YORK (JTA) — An
emergency assembly in sol-
idarity with Falashas, the
Jews of Ethiopia, was held
in New York at Stern Col-
lege. The assembly was
called to coincide with
demonstrations held in
Jerusalem by the small
Falasha community in Is-
rael.
Dr. Graenum Berger,
executive vice president of
the American Association
for Ethiopian Jews, and
Rabbi Hailu Paris, spiritual
leader of Cong. Mount
Horeb, said the Jewish
world in general and the Is-
raeli government in par-
cular are neglecting the
.esperate plight of the
fast-disappearing Falashas
of Ethiopia. Their im-
mediate rescue through
mass aliya was held out as
their only hope.
The assembly heard ex-
cerpts of recent letters from
Jews in Ethiopia describing
the destruction of whole vil-
lages and the massacre and
enslavement of many Jews.
A memorial service on
behalf of the murdered
Falashas was conducted by
Rabbi, Irving Block of the
Brotherhood Synagogue. ,

Distinguished scholar and eloquent speaker. Co-
author of the book "Who Financed Hitler?" This
research for the book is a story in itself. He inter-
viewed people who actually financed Hitler —from
the highest princes to the average party member.
He combed thru Nazi party archives, the volumin-
ous financial records of some of Germany's largest
industrial firms, and the Henry Ford archives.
