Student Programs in Israel Will Be Explained at Center

The Israel Information
and Resource Center (IIRC)
will sponsor "Israel, Here I
Come — Student Programs
in Israel," 2 p.m. Sunday at
the main Jewish Commu-
nity Center.
Shelly Jackier, co-
ordinator of the IIRC, said
the programs that will be
explained include summer,
tester and year-long
-dies; kibbutz, moshav or
development town touring

or a combination of the
three; camping, archeologi-
cal digs, science seminars
and others.
There will be an audio-
visual presentation by
American students in Israel
as well as booths with
representatives of each pro-
gram.

cuss the opportunity for an
entire high school class to
study for one year in Isarel.
This program is being con-
sidered by some classes at
West Bloomfield High
School and is open to other
schools and individual stu-
dents. Dr. Morton Plotnick,
executive director of the
Jewish Community center,
his secretary Sandy Cog-
gan, and former students
Maureen Schreiber and Sue
Friedman will also discuss
the program.
