The Best of Everything )

(Continued from Page 33)
made by Joyce, etc.
THE EXPRESSION, If
you want something done
right, call a busy man," may
hold true, like in the case of
CPA Sam Geller as example
. . . but it isn't necessarily a
fact . . . Restaurants that
are too busy can't give serv-
ice the way they would like
. . . The same is so for
florists whose once-
personalized attention is
sadly neglected as they now
depend on pools and buy
much of their things al-
ready made up.
FAMILY PLAYERS of
West Bloomfield have many
family interests going for
them in the presentation of
Cinders at Warner Junior
High, W. 14 Mile between
Middlebelt and Northwest-
ern . . . tonight and Nov. 2 at
8 p.m.. . . and tomorrow and
Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Among them, Jean Arkin
plays the king who wants to
sing but nobody will listen
in the slap stick musical
spoof on Cinderella . . .
daughter Diane Davis is
president of Family Players
and co-producer of Cinders
. . . and son-in-law Ron
Davis plays her son the pr-
Jean's
ince
work
grandchildren
backstage.
Alan Krause plays step-
sister Fruitti and his sister
Sheryl plays step-sister
Tutti . . . Cookie Baker
plays Tag, hubby Art works
backstage, daughter Heidi
is in the chorus and son
Bobby plays one head of
Dobbin, the two-headed
horse.
Tickets can be gotten at
the door . . . or by calling
Diane, 855-9160.
DENNIS SILBER and
Doug Diehl will soon open
their Down Under Restau-
rant at the Hart Plaza,
Downtown Detroit.
Leo Fein, stalwart at
Doug's Body Shop on
Woodward, will be general
manager of the seven-
day-a-week operation
slated to feature combina-
tion dinners for two among
other things, like a -raw bar
. . . It'll be open for lunch,
dinner and after sports
events, concerts, etc. .. .
Down Under will also have
a Saturday and Sunday
brunch . . . plus piano
entertainment.
TOO BAD some organ-'
izations for good of mankind
are filled more with lip serv-
ice and self-glorification
members than dedicated
ones . . . A sorry sight that
the work they're to do be-
comes so very secondary .. .
For these people, the only
rewards they want are a
slap on the back or the false
inward feeling that they are
doing good ... or want
people to think so, anyway.
MAIL DEPT. to Ar-
mando Galan, Armando's
Taco House, 4242 West
Vernor, Detroit . . . from
Florine Mark, president of
Weight Watchers hereab-
outs . . .
"Just a little note to let
you know first-hand what a

wonderful evening I had
dining out at your restau-
rant last night.
"The food was absolutely
terrific, the atmosphere and
music were just wonderful,
and the service that our
party received from both
you and your staff was su-
perb.
"Thank you for making
everything just 'perfect'. It
was by far one of the most
enjoyable, relaxing eve-
nings I have had the
privilege of enjoying and it
was all because of you and
your wonderful staff. I look
forward to spending many
more such times with you
and your staff in the fu-
ture."

Court Lifts Ban on Arab Magzine

JERUSALEM — A ruling
by the High Court of Justice
has canceled the ban on "El
Kateb," an Arabic literary
magazine published in East
Jerusalem.

A majority of the court
said the Interior Ministry,

which had ordered a halt to
publication of the monthly
magazine, failed to show
just cause for banning the
publication. Ministry
authorities had claimed
that the venture was a plan
by Palestinian Communists
to incite rebellion.
