ization announces the win-
ners of the Kickoff Poster

Howard Krass has been
elected president of Ruach
AZA in the recent chapter
election. Ruach AZA serves
Jewish young men, ages
14-18, in the
Birmingham-Bloomfield
Hills area. Ruach AZA is
sponsoring a Racquetball
Tournament Saturday and
Sunday at the main Jewish
Community Center.
The tournament is open
to all Jewish teens and
there are three divisions for
boys as well as girls (14 and
under, 16 and under and 18
and under). Reduced regis-
tration fee is available to all
AZA and BBG members.

leadership conclave Oct.
26-28 at Camp Tamarack.
The conclave is being coor-

is leadership, and programs
will include leadership and
communication workshops
led by the advisers, an oneg
Shabat on "Oppressed
Jews," Saturday morning
and Havdala services,
BBYO basics, a ISF festival
and a program on hand-
icapism.

Zionist Meetings in Miami
NEW YORK (JTA) —
Jewish leaders from more
than 30 countries will con-
duct an examination of the
issues affecting Israel and
world Jewry in response to
recent developments in the
United States, the Middle
East and the Soviet Union
at an International Leader-
ship Conference in Miami
Beach, Wednesday through
Oct. 28.
Ivan Novick, president of
the Zionist Organization of
America, which is jointly
sponsoring the conference
at the Doral Hotel with the
Latin American Confedera-
tion of General Zionists and
the Zionist Organization of
Canada, said the meeting
was called "because of the
realization that the Jewish
position in the world, in-
cluding that of Israel, is
under attack and we must
face the implications and
prepare for the challenges of
the '80s."
Delegates from the Met-
ropolitan Detroit area will
include Dr. and Mrs. Alex
Friedlaender, Rabbi Leon
