Shirley Gallison

Shirley Gallison, a re-
tired kindergarten teacher,
died Oct. 6 at age 58.
A native Detroiter, Mrs.
Gallison was a kindergar-
ten teacher at the Ruthruff
School in Detroit for more
than 20 years. She was
graduated from Wayne
State University.
Mrs. Gallison was a
member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue and its married
couples club and Tikvah
Chapter of Bnai Brith
Women.
She leaves her husband,
B a daughter, Mrs.
Lawrence (Carole) Ochs; a
brother, Louis Gold; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Harold (Marilyn)
Laine and Mrs. Eugene
(Florence) Kite of Lin-
colnwood, Ill.; and two
granddaughters.

tired furniture salesman,
died Oct. 6 at age 78.
A native Detroiter, Mr.
August retired two years
ago. He started his furni-
ture career with Weil and
Co. and for nearly 60 years
he was employed by the Ro-
gers Furniture CO. He was a
member of Bnai Brith and
the Knights of Pythias.
He leaves his wife,. Birdie;
two sons, Irving and Stan-
ley; a brother, Honey; and a
sister, Mrs. Ann Schubb;
and four grandchildren.
