Investigation of Cult Focus of New Novel

The efforts of five dedi-
cated reporters to uncover
the true story behind the
"Harmonetics Society," a
cult-like organization that
promises eternal youth and
perpetual beauty to its fol-
lowers, is the basis for the
Gladys M. Heldman novel,
The Harmonetics Investi-

gation," an October release
from Crown Publishers.
The reporters, Jade Bor-
den, Henrietta Beale,
Harold Gondoler, Martha
Rayburn and . Roger Silbers-
tein — comprise National
News Magazine's top inves-
tigative team. Their work
probes beneath the Society's

slick, compelling appeal
and discovers a corrupt
network of ruthless terror.
Mrs. Heldman, who is a
tournament level tennis
player and author of many
tennis books, sets her first
novel in the near future,
making it a timely and for-
boding book.
