THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS 38 Friday, October 5, 1979 Delegates Prepare for Israel Parley of Pioneer Women Delegates from Greater Detroit Council, Pioneer Women, met recently to hear details of Pioneer Women's 26th national bi- ennial convention to be held Nov. 11-21 in Jerusalem, Is- rael. Delegates will meet and hear some of Israel's top leaders, including President Yitzhak Navon, Shimon Peres, anwomen members of the Knesset. The 1,000 delegates will gather at the Western Wall in a "Salute to Jerusalem," preceding their reception by Nu? Pizza in a Skillet from Chef Boyardeel Mayor Teddy Kollek. The second Golda Meir award will be presented to a prominent American who has made a major contribu- tion to relations with Israel.
