Seeks Students
Workmen's Circle School
Board announces that
registration for adult Yid-
dish classes is now being ac-
cepted.
The class will meet on
Tuesdays and Thursdays,
starting 7 p.m. Tuesday for
beginners and will continue
for six weeks. The advanced
class will meet at 8:30.
Classes will be held at the
Workmen's Circle Center,
26341 Coolidge, Oak Park.
- The instructor is Sima
Abramovitz.
Those wishing to enroll
can call Workmen's Circle,
545-0985. There is a tuition
fee.

Center. Synagogues, tem-

organizations are among
the sponsors of the event.
Branch Seven, Labor
Zionist Alliance, will hold
its annual dinner 6 p.m.
Oct. 14 at the Labor Zionist
Institute.
Guest speaker Jules
Harwood will speak on his
recent trip to China. He will
show slides of his trip.

HARTFORD (JTA) — A
group of Hartford Jews have
organized themselves to re-
store the first Jewish house
of worship in Connecticut as
a component of Hartford's
redevelopment of its inner
city section.
The Charter Oaks Tem-
ple, a 102-year-old building,
which was purchased by the
Hartford Redevelopment
Agency in 1974, has not
been used for Jewish wor-
ship for 43 years.
