He said that less than a handful of Jews now are being admitted into Russian universities and the situation is grave even if the exit visas are increas- ing. Sherbourne's main ac- tivity has been in reach- ing Russian Jews by telephone. Since 1972, he has made more than 5,000 telephone calls to Russia and reached the Jews he aided in that way. On their brief visit here, Mr. and Mrs. Sherbourne were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sharfman. Sherbourne was honored with an aliya Saturday morning at Rosh Hashana services at Cong. Beth Shalom. It was through this opera- tion that he befriended Mrs. Rae Sharfman. He was in- formed by a Russian Jew he contacted about her, and she was told about Sher- bourne in a phone call from Russia, and the friendship was established thereby. • Seeing You At Our New Location • Opening About October 8, 1979 • 7 New Students PHILADELPHIA — Seven new students have entered the class of 1984 at the Reconstructionist Rab- binical College.
