An informative meeting
about teenage trips to Israel
will be held at 7:30 p.m. on
Wednesday at Cong. Beth
Israel, sponsored by the
Commission on Jewish
Education of the Flint
Jewish Community Coun-
cil.
Mimi Goldstein, chair-
man, said that students who
have been to Israel recently
will share their experiences
with teens who may be in-
terested in going to Israel in
1980. Parents are welcome.

Edwin M. Vater

Edwin M. Vater, a Grand
Blanc attorney, died Sept.
12 at age 48.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Mr.
Vater lived in Flint for the
past 18 years. He was a
member of Cong. Beth Is-
rael, the American Bar
Association, the Interna-
tional Order of Foresters,
Bnai Brith and was an hon-
orary member of the Na-
tional Foundation of the
March of Dimes. He resided
at 460 Charing Cross,
Grand Blanc.
Mr. Vater is survived by
his wife, Rita; two sons,
Michael of Phoenix, Ariz.;
and Daniel; two daughters,
Ilene and Suzan; and a sis-
ter, Myra David.
