Did the U.S. Government
encourage the Panamaians
to confiscate the American
Tax payers boats in order to
placate them before the
Canal was turned over to
them?

The book, written by Jean
Ragsdale and Virginia Smith,

"The Rape of the, Honey"

was a commercial fishing

boat owned by Jean
Ragsdale. The boat was con-
fiscated on the Panama'
Canal, as were many other
American boats. The ro-
mance part Jf the book is
entirely fictitious. The r
about the boat is very t
and may be documented.
