LEAH SNIDER
Mrs. Snider attended
Central High School and
Ohio State University. She
is a former member of the
national Hadassah Board
and the Michigan Region of
Hadassah Board; she is past
chapter president of South
Oakland County Hadassah
and past president of Met-
ropolitan Detroit Hadassah.
The Israel Bond
chairman-elect was hon-
ored this past spring as
Metropolitan Detroit
Hadassah's 7Woman of the
Year" at their annual
luncheon on behalf of Israel
Bonds. Mrs. Snider was the
recipient of the Lion of
Judah Peace Award at that
event.
A former vice president of
the Women's Division,
Jewish Welfare Federation,
Mrs. Snider has been a
board member of the JWF
since the early 1960s and is
also currently serving as
chairman of the Outreach
Committee of JWF.
Other current activities
include serving on the
board of the Jewish Fed-
eration Apartments and
the Michigan chairman-
ship of the Women's Di-
vision, United Jewish
Appeal.
A board member-elect of
Sinai Hospital,"Mrs. Snider
has been a Gray Lady with
the Red Cross and served at
the Veterans Hospital in
Dearborn for five years. She

ceived a PhD degree in
counseling and psychology
from Michigan State Uni-
versity.
Dr. Oxer is the director of
the Ingham Community
Mental Health Center in
Lansing.
