Rubinstein Cited

VENICE — Artur
Rubinstein, the 94-year-old
pianist, received "the moral
equivalent of a Nobel Prize
for music" last week when
he was awarded a "Life in
Music" prize given only to
those who have spent 40
years in the music profes-
sion.
Rubinstein was given a
10-minute standing ovation
by the crowd at the La
Fenice Opera House.
