Fellowship Award

Diary of Sadat

University scholar Dr.
Raphael Israeli has recently
published his three-volume
work, "The Public Diary of
President Sadat."
The books recently were
presented to President
Sadat and also will be given
to President Jimmy Carter
and Prime Minister
Menahem Begin.
Dr. Israeli, of the Hebrew
University's Harry Truman
Research Institute, is an
expert on East Asian
Studies and Islamic civili-
zation. He has constructed
an almost day-to-day diary
from Sadat's public
speeches and interviews
from September 1970 to Oc-
tober 1976.
