Flint Obituaries

Milton J. Kaufman, co-
owner of Kaufman's De-
partment Store in Owosso,
died July 27 at age 68.
Mr. Kaufman was a
member of Owosso Masonic
Lodge, the Kiwanis Club of
Owosso and Cong. Beth Is-
rael of Flint.
He is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. Kal
(Miriam) Goren of Bir-
mingham; two brothers, Dr.
Benjamin of Flint and Leon;
and nieces and nephews.

pilot study program. After
the pilot program is com-
pleted, students and
teachers will be asked to
contribute their comments
as to the best way the book
can be incorporated as a text
book.

Holocaust survivor David
Bergman, who lectures loc-
ally about the Holocaust,
has published a book-
cassette presentation
entitled "Never Forget and
Never Forgive."
Bergman is a survivor of
Auschwitz. He has a file of
letters from students,
teachers and professors
stating that the cassette ac-
companying his book brings
out the realism of the
Holocaust in a way no sur-
vivor has ever been able to
accomplish. Among other
things, his cassette features
the re-enacted, dreadful
hissing of steam engines
that sadly let Nazi victims
know they were going to be
taken from their homes.
"Never Forget and Never
Forgive" includes drawings
by the author and others,
pictures of Bergman's
sculptures depicting the
Holocaust plus appropriate
historical photographs.
There is a special sec-
tion in Bergman's book in
which other survivors
are encouraged to in-
scribe their experiences
under Nazi terror. Every
holder of the book is
asked to interview other
