Plans for the September dinner and the objectives of a special scholarship com- mittee will be outlined at the parlor meeting. Mrs. Stern, of New York, was recently elected vice chairman of Bar-Ilan Uni- versity's global board of trustees. She is the first woman to occupy such high office on the university's board. Mrs. Stern was recently honored by the university with an honorary doctorate of humane letters. Detroiter Phillip Stollman was re-elected chairman of the global board.
