New main dish ideas are
not always easy to find,
especially ones that are not
too time consuming to pre-
pare. I think you will like
this top-of-the-stove dish,
which won't heat up your
kitchen too badly in hot
weather.

derized tenderloin)

meat tenderizer spice
6 medium potatoes, thinly
sliced
1 large onion, cut in rings
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
water

Cut meat into strips two in-
ches long by one inch wide.
Sprinkle with tenderizer.
Brown in oil. Add potatoes and
onions. Continue to brown on
low fire, stirring occasionally.
Add soy sauce and garlic. Add
a few spoonsful of water. Stir.
Cover and cook until meat and
potatoes are tender. (Add
extra water only if it all evapo-
rates as it cooks.) Serves four.
