Mr. Chen was born in Brazil and made aliya in 1952. In the mid-1960s, he served as a teacher- emissary in Rio de Janeiro and in the 1970s in Holland. In Israel, he was a teacher and headmaster and wrote plays on the side, some of which won notable success.. Dr. Cecil Miller Dr. Cecil Miller, a former Detroiter and a professor at Glassboro State College in New Jersey, died July 13 at age 54.– Born in Lancaster, Pa., Dr. Miller was a social worker and held a doctorate in special education. He earned his doctorate in 1970 from Wayne State Univer- sity. From 1954 to 1970, Dr. Miller served the -Detroit Board of Education as a school social worker. While in Detroit he was a member of Temple Emanu-El. He resided in Turnersville, N.J., for the past eight years.
