BRIAN KRONICK
Brian Kronick will com-
pete in the fourth Pan
American Maccabia Games .
in Mexico City as a member
of the U.S. soccer team.
Kronick began his soccer
career at Carman High
School, where he was cho-
sen for the first, team all-
state class A squad.
He competed at Cornell
University last year and
will return there in the fall.
Flint Obituaries
Opal R. Finkelstein, a
nurse who achieved the
rank of captain in the U.S.
Army Nurses Corps, died
July 7 at age 66.
Mrs. Finkelstein was
graduated in 1936 from the
Hurley Hospital School of
Nursing and during World
War II served overseas for
three years as a chief nurse
and nurse anesthetist.
She was a member of
Cong. Beth Israel and its
sisterhood and Hadassah.
She resided at 401
Lafayette.
She is survived by her
husband, Dr. Theodore; and
two sons, Brayan and Hal.
Theater Party
Slated for Youth
The Flint Jewish Com-
munity Council will have a
theater party for youth to
see "The Princess and the
Ogre" 2 p.m. Thursday at
the Bower Theater. Par-
ticipants are requested to
