Brushton News have been
honored for their coopera-
tive achievement in simul-
taneously publishing "The
Record: The Black Experi-
ence in America, 1619-
1979."
The awards presentation
was co-sponsored by the
Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith, the National
- Association for the Ad-
vancement of Colored
I' -131e and the National
ncil for the Social
Studies. The three organ-
izations cooperated in the
research and writing of
"The Record."

Minister Menahem Begin
into office, Begin's Likus
coalition is in trouble.
The PORI Institute polls
indicate that if an election
were held today, some 29.8
percent of the voters would
favor Labor compared to
28.9 percent for Likud.
In 1977, Likud received'
35 percent of the vote and
Labor 24 percent.
Police Protection
Called for After
Seminary Attack
NEW YORK — An offi-
cial of the Anti-Defamation
League of Bnai Brith re-
cently called for improved
police protection in the For-
est Hills Queens neighbor-
hood after a dozen baseball
bat-wielding teenagers
rampaged through a rab-
binical seminary, attacking
its rabbi and students.
One student was hos-
pitalized with a broken nose
and eight others suffered
lesser injuries during the
incident.
Weinraub to Head
Dental Division
NEW YORK — The
American Friends of the
HebrewUniversity recently
announced the appointment
of Dr, David R. Weinraub as
national coordinator of its
Dental Division.
The division will be head-
quartered at the University
of Pennsylvania in
Philadelphia. The Univer-
sity of Pennsylvania has
been collaborating with the
Hebrew University-

since 1974.

been published by the Na-
tional Foundation for

lecturers/ artists/ scholars,
and Jewish literature/
bibliography.
