France's brother, Salvatore
Cicurel, had represented
Egypt in the Olympics in
fencing.

owned by the family of Detroiter David Chicorel until
the Egyptian leader Nasser came into power. The
store fell to government ownership after having been
owned by the Cicurel family for 50 years.
