Rose Kaye was re-elected
president for the third year
of United Hebrew Schools of
Metropolitan Detroit at its
annual meeting. Mrs. Kaye
is the first woman president
of the agency. Elected as
officers to serve for a one-
year term with Mrs. Kaye
are: Vice presidents,
Jerome Acker, Marvin
Hoffman and Renah Bar-
denstein; secretary, Melvin
Seidman; treasurer, Dr.
Paul Feinberg; assistant
treasurer, Albert Lieber-
man.
Mrs. Kaye announced the
appointment of Dr. Gerald
Teller as the new superin-
tendent of the United He-
brew Schools, who will as-
sume his duties in the fall.
The annual meeting
marked the 60th anniver-
sary of United Hebrew
Schools, which was offi-
cially founded by Bernard
Isaacs in 1919. A special
feature of the annual meet-
ing was the honoring with
the presentation of plaques
to 17 members of the board
who had served more than
10 years on the board of di-
rectors.

wood, Rose Kaye, Milton
