Michael Silberscheim were
awarded master of arts de-
grees from the Rabbinical
School.
Rabbi Cooper, son of Mrs.
Annette Cooper of Oak
Park, is a graduate of the
University of Michigan,
from which he received a
bachelor of arts degree with
distinction, and of the Sem-
inary, which awarded him a
master of arts degree.
The recipient of the Wolfe
Kelman Award in Jewish
History and the Weintrob
Award in History, he serves
as director of the Semi-
nary's Community Out-
reach Program (CORP).
In addition to his Semi-
nary studies, Rabbi
Cooper is studying for a
master's degree in social
work at Columbia Uni-
versity.
Rabbi Drazen, who was
graduated from the joint
program between Columbia
University and the Semi-
nary, is the son of Mrs. Syl-
via Katzman of Southfield.
Having served as pro-
gram director and business
manager for Camp Ramah
in Wisconsin, he presently
serves as director of the col-
lege guidance and the
mini-course program of the
Seminary's Leadership
Training Fellowship.
He and his wife, Susan
Alpert Drazen, who will be
awarded a master of arts in
education, make their home
in New York City.

Fitzerman, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William Fitzer-
man of Oak Park, is a
graduate of the Univer-
sity of Michigan. Cur-
renctly studying in the
Seminary program at
Neve Schechter in
Jerusalem, he plans to
continue his studies
toward ordination.

Silberscheim, who was
graduated from the joint
program between the Sem-
inary and Columbia Uni-
versity, was a visiting
graduate student at the He-
brew University in
Jerusalem 1976-1978.

Having served as a
counselor-teacher at Camp
Ramah in Wisconsin, he
presently serves on the fa-
culty of the Seminary's high
school program, Prozdor.
His mother, Mrs. Isadore
Katz, lives in Oak Park.

Summer Ulpan
Set at Midrasha

The Midrasha College of
Jewish Studies will conduct
a summer Ulpan for persons
of all ages and at all levels
beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday
at the college.
Among the other courses
to be offered are: Elemen-
tary Hebrew reading; con-
versational Hebrew for ad-
vanced beginners, inter-
mediate and advanced
levels; conversational He-
brew for children age 8-11;
and advanced beginner He-
brew conversation.
