INTRODUCTORY OFFER 20% OF COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — All was not calm at the final session of a conference in volving Third World na- tions this week. An Arab at the meeting, which took place behind closed doors, angrily shouted at an Egyptian that President Anwar Sadat would be "toppled like the Shah of Iran," according to the New York Times. The man, appranently a delegate from the radical Arab grouping of Iraq, Syria and Algeria, was said to have threatened violence against African delegates and others who supported Egypt. "As for the Egyp- tians," he added, "We can dispose of them right out there in the hall." The stormy session was also marred by the threatened resignation of Sri Lanka Foreign Minis- ter and conference chairman A.C.S. Hameed. Hameed's decision came when neither side would "budge an inch" on the Egyptian issue. He was eventually convinced by an aide that his resignation would not do any good and would be considered a "cop- out" by the others present at the conference. In Jerusalem it was learned that such contacts included an incognito visit by Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan to India in 1977 and attempts at arranging a similar visit during Dayan's trip to the Far East last month. The source, a high- ranking member of the rul- ing Janata Party and one of Israel's most fervent sup- porters in India, contends that Dayan's trip to India, during which he secretly met with high-level Indian officials, came as an at- tempt to further the dip- lomatic realtions between the two countries which have never held full rela- tions between them. At present, an Israeli con- sul is stationed in Bombay and India's interests in Is- rael are relayed through the British Embassy in Tel Aviv.
