Theodore R. Mann, chair-
man of the National Jewish
Community Relations
Advisory Council, was re-
elected to a second one-year
term as chaitman of the
Conference of Presidents of
Major American Jewish
Organizations.
The Presidents Confer-
ence meeting also paid a
farewell tribute to Hanon
Bar-On, minister at the Is-
raeli Embassy in Washing-
ton for the last three years,
who • is returning to
Jerusalem as assistant di-
rector general in the foreign
ministry in charge of North
American affairs.

break relations with Egypt.

aid from Saudi Arabia and
Kuwait, and has refrained
from endorsing the
Israeli-Egyptian peace pact,
President Gaafar al-
Nimeiry has close ties with
Anwar Sadat of Egypt.
Nimeiry has said that
breaking relations will not
advance the Arab cause.
Some 17 of the 22 Arab
states have broken rela-
tions with Egypt.
